Recitation Free Of Clear And Subtle Errors
You learn to avoid lahn jali (clear mistakes that change the meaning) and lahn khafi (subtle mistakes in Tajweed). Your teacher corrects both until your recitation meets Azhari standards.
Live 1-to-1 · Private Classes
Learn the Quran online from teachers who graduated from Al-Azhar University and hold ijazah with a connected sanad. This course brings the structured Azhar approach to recitation, Tajweed, and memorization into live one-to-one classes.
Whether you want to correct your recitation, memorize with a clear plan, or prepare for an ijazah, your Azhari teacher takes you through the same stages used in Al-Azhar Quran institutes, one tested step at a time.
A clear route, not random lessons
The al-azhar quran course at Quran House follows the method Al-Azhar has used for centuries. You learn through talaqqi, repeating each verse after your teacher until it is correct, the same direct transmission that connects every qualified reciter back to an unbroken chain of teachers. You study Tajweed from the classical texts taught in Azhar institutes, and your memorization is checked through regular recitation tests and a set revision schedule.
All lessons follow the Hafs 'an 'Asim narration. A placement session sets your starting level, and from there your teacher moves you through defined stages, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
Connected curriculum
The syllabus draws on the al azhar curriculum quran classes taught in Egypt's Quran institutes, adapted for online one-to-one learning.
Your teacher recites and you repeat until every letter comes from its correct point of articulation. This is how Al-Azhar teaches pronunciation: by listening to and copying a qualified reciter, not by reading rules alone.
You study Tajweed from the two classical poems Al-Azhar uses to teach it. You learn each rule by its proper name and practice it in real verses, so the theory shows up in how you recite.
You memorize in fixed units of juz, hizb, and page, the way Azhar institutes do. Each new portion is recited to your teacher and tested before the next one begins.
Revision runs alongside new memorization. You get a daily revision load for recent pages and a weekly one for older parts, so what you have memorized stays strong over time.
You learn where a pause is required, allowed, or wrong, and how to resume without changing the meaning. Azhari teachers treat this as a core skill, not an extra.
Many verses are close in wording but differ by one word or letter. Your teacher points them out as you memorize and gives you ways to keep them separate, which prevents mixing verses during recitation.
Each portion comes with a short explanation of key words and the general meaning of the verses. Knowing what you recite makes memorizing easier and makes your recitation more reflective.
At the end of each stage you take an oral exam like those in Azhar Quran institutes. Advanced students who complete the full Quran with precision can go on to prepare for an ijazah with sanad.
Course outcomes
By the end of each level, your progress shows up in these four areas.
You learn to avoid lahn jali (clear mistakes that change the meaning) and lahn khafi (subtle mistakes in Tajweed). Your teacher corrects both until your recitation meets Azhari standards.
Because every portion is tested and revised on a schedule, you can recite it from any point when asked. It stays with you instead of fading after a few weeks.
You don't just recite correctly. You can also name and explain the Tajweed rule in each word, which prepares you to review your own recitation and, later, to teach it.
Students who complete the full memorization and meet the required level of precision have a direct route to recite the whole Quran to a sanad-holding teacher for an ijazah.

How a class runs
Every session follows the same clear rhythm, so learners always know what comes next.
You recite your assigned revision portion from memory while your teacher listens and notes any weak spots.
Your teacher recites the new portion and you repeat it verse by verse until it is correct.
You go through one Tajweed rule from the classical texts and apply it straight away to the verses you just learned.
You recite the new portion once more to be tested, then receive your memorization and revision targets for the next class.
You leave each session with a portion recited and approved by an Azhari teacher, one Tajweed rule understood, and exact targets for your next class. Over the weeks, this steady cycle builds recitation and memorization you can rely on.
