About the Quran Recitation for Kids Course

Quran recitation means reading the Quran out loud and saying each letter the right way. The rules for this are called Tajweed. Here, your child learns these rules in small, easy steps. First your child learns the sounds of the Arabic letters. After that, they move on to words and then to full surahs.

Our Quran recitation classes for children are one-on-one, so your child has the teacher's full attention. The teacher hears each mistake and fixes it gently, right away. Small mistakes can turn into habits that are hard to fix later.

Kids who are just starting can join. So can kids who read but still make mistakes. Your family does not need to speak Arabic for your child to do well. It is an easy way to learn Quran recitation for kids at home, with no long drives. You choose class times that fit your family, and you always know how your child is doing.

What Your Child Will Study in the Quran Recitation for Kids Course

Lessons follow a clear order, so your child never feels lost. They start with sounds and slowly build up to full surahs. The teacher adjusts each step to your child's age. Below are the eight parts your child will study.

  1. How to Say Each Arabic Letter

Your child learns to spot each Arabic letter and say its sound out loud. The teacher uses pictures and "say it after me" practice. Letters that sound alike, like ح and ه or س and ص, are practiced side by side.

At home, you will start to hear the difference. Your child will stop mixing up letters that once sounded the same to them.

  2. Where Each Letter Sound Comes From (Makharij)

In Tajweed, each letter comes from a set spot in the mouth or throat. These spots are called Makharij. Your child learns to feel where a sound starts, such as deep in the throat or at the tip of the tongue.

This is how hard letters like ع and ق become easy. Your child can say them the right way, even if no one at home speaks Arabic.

  3. Short and Long Vowel Sounds (Harakat and Madd)

Arabic uses small marks above and below letters to show vowel sounds. Your child first learns the short sounds, like Fatha and Damma. Then they learn the long sounds, called Madd.

A common mistake is cutting long sounds too short. A natural Madd lasts about two counts, so the teacher claps or counts along with your child. You can clap along at home, too.

  4. How to Join Letters Into Words

Next, your child learns to join letters. Letters change shape when they connect, so this takes practice. Your child reads short words first, then longer ones.

The teacher uses words from the Quran early on. So each new word your child learns is one they will see again in their surahs.

  5. First Tajweed Rules for Kids

Your child learns simple Tajweed rules, one at a time. Ghunnah is a soft hum through the nose. Qalqalah is a small bounce on five letters: ق ط ب ج د. Many teachers help kids remember these letters with the phrase "Qutb Jad."

Your child also learns the basics of Noon Sakinah, which is a Noon with no vowel. Each rule is shown inside a surah your child already knows. Hearing a rule in a real verse makes it much easier to understand.

  6. Reading Short Surahs From Juz Amma

Juz Amma is the last part of the Quran. It has many short surahs, like Al-Ikhlas and An-Nas. Your child reads these with correct Tajweed. They also work on Surah Al-Fatiha.

These are the surahs your child says in Salah. Soon, you will hear your child read them correctly with each rule in place.

  7. Reading at a Calm Pace and Stopping at the Right Signs

Good recitation is calm and steady. Your child learns to keep an even pace, without rushing. They also learn the stop signs in the Quran, which show where to pause and breathe.

Many kids speed up once they know a surah well. The teacher slows them down with a gentle reminder. Over time, your child learns that a calm pace sounds beautiful.

  8. Listening Practice and Home Tasks

Kids learn recitation best by listening and then copying. Your child listens to clear recitation and repeats it line by line. After class, the teacher gives a small home task.

You do not need to know Tajweed to help. Just listen to your child read for a few minutes each day. A little practice every day works better than one long session a week.

Course outcomes

What Your Child Gains from the Quran Recitation Course

By the end, you will notice a real change at home. Your child will read with more care and more confidence. These are the main results you can expect when your child starts to learn Quran recitation for kids with us.

Your Child Reads the Quran Without Help

Your child can open the Mushaf and read by themselves. They know the letters and vowel marks and how to join them. They no longer need to guess or copy someone else.

You can relax, knowing your child is reading on their own. It is a skill they will use every day for the rest of their life.

Your Child Says Every Letter Clearly

Your child can say hard Arabic sounds the right way. They can hear the difference between letters that sound alike.

This matters because one wrong sound can change what a word means. Your child learns to take care with every letter from the start.

Your Child Recites Short Surahs Correctly in Salah

Your child can recite Al-Fatiha and short surahs with correct Tajweed. They know where to stretch a sound and where to stop.

You will hear the change when your child prays. Some children even ask to lead the family in Salah at home.

Your Child Grows to Love Quran Time

Short, gentle lessons and warm praise help your child feel safe with the Quran. Over time, mistakes feel like a normal part of learning. A child who enjoys Quran time will likely keep reading as they grow.

Your child practices the new skill by reading it again and again, sometimes as a game. The teacher fixes each mistake gently, right away.

“My experience with this academy has been really amazing. I had been to a lot of Quran classes before, but they just weren't a good fit for me until I found this Quran Academy, which turned out to be the best one I could ever ask for. It helps me memorize the Quran in a fun and effective way. Previously, I didn't know much Quran and felt hesitant, but now I feel great when my friends ask me to recite because I have memorized so much.
