Which Surah has two bismillah?

Surah Al-Naml is the only surah in the Quran where bismillah is mentioned twice. It’s the 27th chapter of the Quran, one of the Meccan surahs.

Bismillah or basmalah means “In the name of Allah, the most gracious, and the most merciful”. Muslims always say when they start reading the Quran.

The first Basmalah is at the beginning of surah, and the second is in the aya 30.

Which surah has no basmllah?

The only surah in the Quran which doesn’t start with basmala is Al-Tawba. Muslims start to seek refuge with Allah before reading it, they say:”I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytan”.

According to the scholars’ opinion, the reason why there is bismillah at the beginning of surah Al-Tawba is that companions considered it as a part of surah Al-Anfaal, because the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) didn’t confirm that before his death.

Other scholars clarified that Basmalah didn’t fit the surah as it begins with combating disbelievers.

It was reported that Ali – may Allah be pleased with him- was asked about the reason why the surah has no Basmalah, and he said:” Al-Basmalah means peace, and Chapter 9 was revealed with a sword [i.e. ordering the believers to fight the disbelievers] and it does not include any peace”.

Which surah equals one-third of the Quran?

Surah Al-Ikhlas equals one-third of the Quran, if you read it, it would be in reward like reading one-third of the Quran, which contains four verses.

As Abu Said Al-Khudri- may Allah be pleased with him- narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) told the companions: “Are you not able to read a third of the Qur’an in one night? They found this very difficult and replied that nobody amongst us can do so. Then the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Allah, The One, the Self-sufficient “Surah Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad equals a third of the Quran”
