Is it an obligation to read the Quran with Tajweed.
First of all, lets define Tajweed. Tajweed is defined as beautifying and perfecting the Quran recitation by giving each letter its due right.
The Quran is Allah words, it is an obligation on every Muslim to read the Quran the way Allah has revealed it. Allah revealed the Quran to prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he it turn recited it to his companions the exact same way he received it. Then the companions recited it and taught it to the next generation the same way the prophet Muhammad taught it to them. And so on, each recited the Quran and taught it to the next generation, till it reached us. So, we have an obligation to recite the Quran the same way our prophet Muhammad recited it after receiving it from Allah.
Reading the Quran the way Allah revealed it and the way prophet Muhammad recited it is a must, and Tajweed is a tool that helps us accomplish that, then reading the Quran with Tajweed is an obligation
